JOBS FIRST COALITION

AGENDA 2026

Jobs First Coalition believes Wisconsin succeeds when people who work hard have the opportunity to build a better life, businesses have the freedom to grow and every family has a safe community to call home.

MAKE WISCONSIN MORE AFFORDABLE

Wisconsin families work hard for their money. Government should make it easier — not harder — for them to keep more of what they earn.

Families and small businesses continue to feel the pressure of higher costs for groceries, housing, utilities, insurance, transportation and child care.

Wisconsin should continue reducing the tax burden on working families, retirees and small businesses. We should control government spending, eliminate waste and make sure taxpayers receive value for every dollar government spends.

When Wisconsin families have more money in their pockets, they spend it in their communities, support local businesses and strengthen our economy.

Keep taxes low. Control spending. Make Wisconsin more affordable.

HELP WORKERS THRIVE

Wisconsin employers continue to struggle to find enough skilled workers.

We need more plumbers, electricians, welders and construction workers. We need more nurses, caregivers and health care professionals. We need more engineers, technicians, computer programmers and skilled manufacturing workers.

Wisconsin’s education and workforce development systems should focus on helping people gain the skills employers actually need — whether through universities, technical colleges, apprenticeships, career and technical education or on-the-job training.

We also need to remove the barriers that keep people from working. That means expanding access to affordable child care, improving high-speed internet access, providing flexible education and training opportunities and helping people move into meaningful, family-supporting employment.

When workers succeed, businesses grow. When businesses grow, communities prosper.

Train workers. Remove barriers. Create opportunity.

KEEP WISCONSIN SAFE

Families cannot thrive and businesses cannot prosper unless our communities are safe.

Wisconsin must support the police officers, sheriff’s deputies, firefighters, emergency responders and corrections officers who protect our communities every day.

Violent and repeat criminals should face meaningful consequences. Judges and prosecutors should put the safety of victims and the public first.

We must also confront the illegal drugs, including fentanyl, that are destroying families and communities throughout Wisconsin. That means strong law enforcement against drug traffickers, combined with effective prevention, treatment and recovery programs.

Public safety is not a Republican issue or a Democratic issue. It is a basic responsibility of government.

Every Wisconsin family — whether they live in a large city, a suburb, a small town or a rural community — deserves to feel safe in their home and neighborhood.

Support law enforcement. Hold violent criminals accountable. Keep Wisconsin safe.

JOBS FIRST. FAMILIES FIRST.

WISCONSIN FIRST.
